The Reef

Directed by: Andrew Traucki

For these young friends it seemed like the holiday of a lifetime – a week cruising the world’s most beautiful coral reef. But when their boat capsizes their dream turns into a nightmare.

Deciding to swim for the nearest land they take to the water. As they close in on the reef a fin surfaces – they are being stalked by a deadly great white shark.

Based on true events, “The Reef” is a tense survival thriller that begs the question, what would I do in this situation?

Described as the ‘scariest shark film since Jaws”, “The Reef” has been released in over 100 countries around the world.

– HORRORPHILIA

“Though reminiscent of “Open Water”, I liked “The Reef” better, as it’s a sharper-looking production (beautifully shot by Daniel Ardilley), more suspenseful and scarier.”

“Worthy of Spielberg’s “Jaws”…the shark thriller that cinema fans have been anticipating for years.”
– **** ½ STARS MOVIE FILM REVIEW.COM

– THE WEEKEND AUSTRALIAN, David Stratton

“…the performances are realistic as are the shark scenes – all of which have been masterfully transposed using real great white footage.”
– ZOO 7 DAYS REVIEW

“Verve, style and a whole lot of thrills”
