The Reef

Directed by: Andrew Traucki

For these young friends it seemed like the holiday of a lifetime – a week cruising the world’s most beautiful coral reef. But when their boat capsizes their dream turns into a nightmare.

Deciding to swim for the nearest land they take to the water. As they close in on the reef a fin surfaces – they are being stalked by a deadly great white shark.

Based on true events, “The Reef” is a tense survival thriller that begs the question, what would I do in this situation?

Described as the ‘scariest shark film since Jaws”, “The Reef” has been released in over 100 countries around the world.

“Has possibly the most surreal scene I’ve ever seen in any shark movie…”
- HORRORPHILIA

“Though reminiscent of "Open Water", I liked "The Reef" better, as it’s a sharper-looking production (beautifully shot by Daniel Ardilley), more suspenseful and scarier.”
